SAT® is a widely accepted test for undergraduate admission to nearly every college in USA and many colleges in Singapore, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The scientific design of the SAT® ensures that it tests both the college readiness and the intellectual capability of an aspirant in an extremely fair way.
The College Board introduced several changes in the new SAT in order to make the test more focused on testing what is taught in high school today and what one needs to succeed in college. The new SAT has become more application-oriented, especially in the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section. The total score has shifted from 2400 to 1600, and the Math section has become more important as it contributes to 800 of the 1600 score.
The new SAT® test is 3 hours - 50 minutes test (including 50 minutes for optional essay). Scored on a scale of 1600 (800 for Math, 800 for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing), the test has no penalty for wrong answers. The test comprises of:
